Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept payment by credit/debit card and accept all major credit/debit cards. We also accept payment by personal cheque. Please Note: Your card will be debited at the time your order is placed and your statement will show payment to ‘Stuart Goddard Bespoke Carpenter’. When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach us. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
All our furniture is made to order therefore please allow 6 – 8 weeks for large furniture items such as beds, wardrobes etc to be delivered. Smaller items of furniture such as shelves, chairs etc can usually be delivered within 2 – 4 weeks. Although we can often fulfil orders sooner than this therefore, If you do have a specific requirement then please mention this to us as we may be able to help. You will be advised of an estimated timescale at the time you place your order. We will then notify you when your furniture is ready to be despatched to arrange a convenient delivery date.
For all other items such as Soft furnishings, accessories and gifts etc please allow up to 14 days for delivery although again we can usually fulfil these orders sooner. These items are usually delivered by Royal mail or Courier. Your delivery charge is dependant on the number of items and/or the weight of your order. You will be advised of your total delivery charge at the point of order. For smaller items delivery is priced between £5 - £20 For large furniture items delivery is priced from £45 upwards IMPORTANT - Before ordering it is essential that you check measurements to ensure that ready assembled items are able to be taken to there final destination in your home. We cannot be held responsible for items which will not go up the stairs or through doorways! When measuring the space for a piece of furniture, remember to allow for skirting boards, dado rails etc as these fall proud of the wall. (This is essential when measuring alcoves or tight spaces) Therefore, it is always best to measure from the proudest point. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Damaged or faulty goods may be returned for a full refund at no extra cost to you. If returning smaller items via Royal Mail it is important that you obtain proof of posting as we cannot be held responsible for items that never reach us. Once we are in receipt of the returned goods we will refund you using the same method as the original transaction. All items must be returned in their original packing and be securely packed.
It is essential that you carefully unwrap your goods straight away and check them for any damage. You must notify us within 7 days if you wish to claim a replacement or a refund. You can do this over the phone or by emailing us at info@stuanddumplings.co.uk where we will arrange for the goods to be collected and/or replaced and advise you on what to do next.
If on receipt of your goods you find they are unsuitable or you simply change your mind you must notify us within 7 days if you wish to qualify for a full refund. We cannot refund used goods, self assemble goods which have been built or partly built, or any goods which have been damaged by the customer. We are unable to refund the original delivery charge and a collection charge of £50 will apply. Again, you can do this over the phone or by emailing us at info@stuanddumplings.co.uk where we can advise you on what to do next.
Should you wish to cancel your order please notify us as straight away. You can do this over the phone by calling 01544 262104 or by emailing us at info@stuanddumplings.co.uk So that we can recognize and process your cancellation without delay, you will need to enter ‘Order cancellation’ in your email title. Stu and dumplings do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. All prices are correct and inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 17.5% and are valid until 31st March 2006. If any customer is entitled to re-claim VAT a VAT invoice can be supplied on request. We have portrayed all colours and designs as accurately as possible. However, due to photography some colours may vary.
